Hello West Carrollton High School, and welcome to The Hook! We are the high school newspaper group, and we’ll be reporting on various events in and around the district, ranging from local sports, dances, current events, and everything else in between.

Journalism is run by Ms. Somerlot, a class open to Juniors and Seniors. We’ll be around the school interviewing various people and documenting school events for upcoming articles. These articles will be posted here to The Hook’s official website, and we may be printing physical copies at some point in the future.

The Hook ran alongside Journalism from 2015 up until early 2021, when journalism was temporarily discontinued. This year, the class was picked up by Ms. Somerlot who just migrated from the middle school up to the high school.

 We’re all excited to see where this goes and what we’ll be able to do, and we hope you all can stay entertained and up to date with the latest news!
