WCHS Track Senior Night

On Tuesday West Carrollton hosted the annual Bogan Relays meet. It was also the track team’s senior night. The seniors celebrated were Dana Isreal, Aret Kadiri, Chris Yow, Malia Duckworth, Ashyia Maddickes, China Marzette, and Paris Marzette. There were a total of 10 teams that came to the meet. The boy’s team came in third, and the girl’s team came in first. Some notable placements for the boy’s team were the 4×100 team placed 2nd, the 4×110 shuttle hurdles placed 1st, the 4×200 placed 3rd, the 800 sprint melody placed 2nd, and Richard Stark placed first in the pole vault. Some notable placements for the girl’s team were the 4×100 placed 2nd, the 4×100 shuttle hurdles places 2nd, the 4×200 placed 2nd, the 800 sprint melody placed 1st, the 4×400 placed first, and the 4×800 placed 2nd. China Marzette and Ashiya Maddickes placed 2nd and 3rd in the high jump, the girls also placed 1st and 2nd in the long jump. Brooklyn Williamson and Meara Nevells placed 2nd and 3rd in the pole vault.  Both the boys and the girl’s teams had a very successful night on their senior night. The two teams continue to show that they are a major threat in the MVL and have a big chance to get first place and get another division title.
