Have you ever had those nights where you’re sitting at home wanting to watch a good movie on Netflix,  but you don’t know of a good movie to watch on Netflix?  A good movie available for streaming right now is  “Zathura.”  This movie stars Jonah Bobo as Danny,  Josh Hutcherson as Walter,  Dax Shepard as the astronaut,  Kristen Stewart as Lisa  and Tim Robbins as Dad.  The genre of this movie is science fiction adventure.     

The movie  “Zathura”  is about two brothers,  Danny and Walter,  that really hate each other and are stuck spending a whole day together with their older sister while their father is at work.  While their father’s at work,  Danny looks around his dad’s basement and finds and old board game called  Zathura and he thinks it would be interesting to play.  What Danny doesn’t know, is that he is in for a wild and crazy day and night with his older brother when he decides to play the game. Each time Danny moves a certain amount of spaces on the board game, he and his brother Walter encounter a space challenge that awaits them.  When Danny and Walter start to play  Zathura, they realize it takes them somewhere in space and they have no idea where they are.  The only way to get back home and out of space is to continue playing the game until they have reached the end. The boys risk their lives in order to get home and win the game.

There are multiple reasons why “Zathura” is a good movie to watch.  The first reason is because it’s a remake of the movie,  “Jumanji.”  Zathura takes place in space instead of in the jungle and it’s cool to see that there is another kind of a movie to compare “Jumanji” to.  Another reason why you should watch this movie is because it has characters called Zorgons  in it that you may not have known about if you haven’t seen this movie.  Finally, this movie tells a good story and has lots of suspense-filled action in the movie to that will keep you at the edge of your seat when you watch.
