Have you ever spent a Christmas with your family and not know what’s a good Christmas movie to watch to get you in the holiday spirit for Christmas?  A good Christmas movie that will get you in the holiday spirit for Christmas is “Home Alone.”  This movie stars,  Macaulay Culkin as Kevin Mccallister,  Joe Pesci as Harry Lime,  Daniel Stern as Marv Merchants,  John Heard as Peter Mccallister and Catherine O’Hara as Kate Mccallister.  The genre of this movie is children/family comedy.

The movie “Home Alone”  is about a boy named,  “Kevin Mccallister,” that is stranded at home all by himself when his family accidentally forgets to take him on a vacation to,  Paris,  France with them.  When Kevin’s mom and dad,  Kate and Peter are on the airplane going to Paris,  France they realize the fact that they left their son Kevin at the house all by himself.  Once Peter and Kate realize this they do the best they can to get home as quickly as they can to take care of their son Kevin.  While Kevin is stuck at home he finds out that their are two burglars known as,  “The Wet Bandits” with the names of “Marv and Harry”  that plan to break into and rob all the houses on the same street Kevin lives on because they think that all of the families on that street are out on vacation for Christmas.  When Kevin finds out these burglars are robbing people’s houses on his streets he then realizes that his house will be next on the burglars list to break into and rob if he doesn’t protect and stop the burglars from trying to rob his house.  When the burglars Marv and Harry talk about robbing the house Kevin is in,  Kevin leaves a window opened and listens to the the burglars talk about how they want to rob his house that night.  After Kevin hears the burglars say they want to rob his house he comes up with a plan to make sure that the burglars won’t rob his house.

There are multiple reasons why “Home Alone” is a good movie to watch on Christmas with your family.  The first reason is because it shows love and compassion for Christmas with the family.  Another reason why you should watch this movie is because it has a good story that will make you wonder what will happen next all throughout the movie.  Finally,  this movie is a laugh out loud family comedy with hilarious scenes with stunts that are done in this movie.
