This will be the first year WCHS has officially had a boys volleyball team. As of right now, since the team is new, it is still considered a club team. After three years it will officially be a WCHS sport. Coach Rebecca Dwenger said, “We are treating [the team] as though it is an official sport when it comes to practices and games.” The new team was created by WCHS math teacher Mrs. Dwenger, Mr. Josh Hazelrigg and our Athletic Director Ms. Nancy Beers. The boys face many different schools this year including Miamisburg, Northmont, Edgewood and Chaminade-Julienne. The team consists of Sean Hutton, Khabraun Bailey, Jordan Ma, Will Hennessy, Caleb Saldivar, Chavelle Champion, Kyle Hudson, Joe Herzog, and Jake Shockley. The boys have been working very hard this season. Come support your Pirates at their next home game on April 26 against Northmont 6 p.m.
