Halloween

Happy Halloween! Continue reading for Halloween fun!

Sophomore Bry Thompson said the best costume she’s ever had  was a hobo. Math teacher Ms. Rebecca Dwenger said Mulan. Dwenger’s most creative costume was a toilet paper tree and Thompson’s was a bumble bee biker.

With all of the clowns running around we are going to have a very interesting Halloween when it comes to costumes. Make sure you steer away from those clown costumes and go with something a little less illegal right now. Dwenger is going as a nice and friendly chipmunk and Thompson is going as one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Many people have Halloween traditions. Watching “Hocus Pocus,” carving pumpkins and drinking apple cider are favorite traditions of Ms. Dwenger. Thompson’s favorite traditions are similar. She watches ‘Hocus Pocus” as well and watches “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Ms. Dwenger’s favorite Halloween snack is a tie between popcorn balls or caramel apples. Candy corn was Thompson’s answer.

Ms. Dwenger likes Halloween because it is an excuse to do all of the fun things she did as a kid. Thompson likes Halloween because she likes doing special effects makeup and dressing up. Halloween is widely liked for many different reasons such as… Carving pumpkins is Dwenger’s favorite. Eating pumpkin pie was Thompson’s response.

Halloween is the time for being scared, so let’s talk about scary movies. Ms. Dwenger likes “The Uninvited” and Thompson likes “Haunted House.” Thompson’s is a haunted house in Wilmington. Ms. Dwenger doesn’t really go to enough haunted houses to have a favorite. However, Ms. Dwenger does like haunted corn fields, not one in specific.

A “scary but fun time” is what Halloween means to Ms. Dwenger.

“[Halloween]’s when the creativity comes out and I like that the most.” said Thompson.
