Presidential Inauguration

The Presidential Inauguration was held Jan. 20 for the 45th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

The inauguration happens every time a new president is elected. The inauguration is a ceremony to mark the commencement of a new- four year term of a president of the United States. The chief justice of administrators administers the oath for the upcoming presidents. The only inauguration element mandated by the U.S. Constitution is that the president make an oath before he enters the White House. The first inauguration, that of George Washington, was April 30, 1789.

A lot of protests were going on during Donald J Trump’s inauguration. The were mostly peaceful but some were violent. Social Studies teacher Ms. Trinity Kirby does not agree with these protests. She remarked, “There is nothing you can do about who is in office, why protest over it?”

There is a lot of discussions of who is going to run in the next presidency. A lot of talk is going toward Michelle Obama, Joe Biden and many others.
