WCHS places third in We the People competition

The annual We the People competition was held Friday, Jan. 27 at the State House in Columbus. Twenty-two WCHS students participated in 12 rounds where they testified in congressional hearings for judges. Students demonstrated their understanding of constitutional principles and applied these principles to both historical and contemporary issues.  

The judges of the We the People competition consisted of college professors, state representatives, practicing attorneys and lobbyists.  The keynote speaker was Ohio Supreme Court Justice, Judith French.  

WCHS’s team earned 3rd place out of the 11 schools participating.
