Immigrations Restrictions: Good or Bad?

Kyle Leisenring

There are a lot of different opinions on immigration restrictions. There are some liberal opinions and some conservatives thoughts. As U.S. citizens, we need to look at both sides before determining who you agree with and who you disagree with.

The more conservative person would most likely love immigration restrictions on people coming into this country and would want background checks on anyone wanting to come into this country. Nathaniel Mungy said “I believe these restrictions are good. It can keep us safe and helps having more people become citizens.” He also said, “ I believe a lot of our drugs do come from out of the United States which if controlled we could end the drug war.”

People with a more liberal view are most likely against the restrictions on immigrants. They might argue that the background checks are way too expensive to afford and we would be in debt.

Tagwa K. Kodilah said, “If countries had a direct threat to our country, with much concern about the citizens then restrictions should be applied.”

Some others might argue that their past shouldn’t affect their present. Some people come into this country for a fresh start.

Students need to read both of these sides before deciding who they side with on immigration restrictions.
