He picks the purple flower from its roots and grinds it in the bowl. The scent rises through his nostrils before he brings it to his mouth. T’Challa sips the Black Panther serum, it runs between his lips, and across his tongue, leaving a bland taste in his mouth. The serum running through his veins gives remarkable strength to whomever drinks it. After drinking, T’Challa takes in his new strengths as the Black Panther.

The Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, the Black Panther. T’Challa is the King of Wakanda, a town that is invisible to the world’s eye. Wakanda has weapons, medicine, and more hidden that has never been introduced to the outside world. T’Challa is constantly dealing with the decision of sharing Wakanda’s powers with the rest of the world or keeping to themselves.

The actors do an amazing job at bringing their characters to life. Lupita Nyong’o plays as Nakia. She is one of T’Challa’s guards. She is strong, smart and fast. Nakia is constantly on the move, on top of cars and helping in any way to protect her king.

Okoya, played by Danai Gurira, is T’Challa’s ex-girlfriend, at the moment they are friends, but you can tell the chemistry between them says they are more. T’Challa is distracted at some times by Okoya’s beauty, finding himself lost in the moment.

Every scene is planned out in the film’s favor. The technology in the movie looks realistic. T’Challa’s sister Shuri is in charge of all of the technology. She makes incredible suits for Black Panther. She makes his suits retractable via a necklace. The necklace looks normal and in any situation he can very easy hit it and it syncs the suit to his body quickly.

A scene that is executed strongly is when T’Challa, Nakia and Okoya travel to what looks like a secret bar. People inside are playing poker and other varieties of gambling games. While they’re inside, the scene goes from casual to operational. Multiple people start fighting as the Black Panther, FBI and other secret groups get caught in the crossfire: all after the same man. T’Challa, Nakia and Okoya exit the building following the man known as Klaw, who is the antagonist. T’Challa chases on foot while Klaw is in a car with bodyguards following in seperate cars. Nakia and Okoya follow in a car with the help of Shuri.

In this scene the action is very intense. Nakia is on top of the car fighting while Black Panther is fighting the guards in their car.

The music goes along extremely well with every scene that is played. The music in “Black Panther” is by Kendrick Lamar as well as other various artists.

The film is rated PG-13. It’s two hours and fifteen minutes long. The action in Black Panther keeps you awake and sitting upright in your seat.
