Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are off and running with the 2024-2025 school year. Below, I have important information to share with families:
- We will have a remote learning day for the HIGH SCHOOL ONLY, on Thursday, September 26th. Students will receive assignments online or on paper from teachers to be completed at home. Once again, the High School will have a remote learning day on September 26th.
- Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for October 16th from 4:00-7:00 and October 24th from 3:20-6:40. Parents can meet with staff to discuss student performance in the classroom.
- Fast food and DoorDash: Students are prohibited from having fast food in the cafeteria. Students can pack their lunch or eat the free lunch that is provided.
- Homecoming Events:
- Homecoming Parade will be October 10th
- Homecoming Game will be October 11th
- Homecoming Dance will be October 12th*
HOMECOMING
Students receiving more than 2 Saturday Detentions, an AEP placement, or a one or more days of suspension prior to the Homecoming dance will not be able to attend. Students must also have the handbook receipt form turned in to the 200s office and ALL FINAL FORMS must be completed.
Note to Parents and Students
School Safety:
If you see something say something, if you hear something, then say something. We have over 800 students in the high school. We have large crowds at our home games. In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, we must work together. Please report any dangerous situations or potential situations to the school staff. You can call the office or email a staff member so we can get the information you have and conduct an investigation.
I also want to be clear that school is not a place for fighting. I am not sure when students and even some parents decided school was the place to fight, but school is a place for learning. School must be a place where students who want to learn, who want to achieve can do so without the chaos of verbal and physical altercations. We will not tolerate these acts, and we will take all available options to punish those students who bring chaos to our building.
Thank you,
David White
