Friday October 2, the West Carrollton Pirates lost an exciting home game to the Xenia Buccaneers in West Carrollton’s 2015 Homecoming Game. Both teams were coming in off wins on their 2-3 records.

This has been one of the biggest years of West Carrollton football since the year the Pirates made a playoff run in 2009 . When asked about the season, Senior Shutdown Corner Mylan Freeman had this to say “ We’ve been working a lot harder in the offseason and practices, and it has shown by ending the streak.” Freeman of course referring to the Pirates 22-game losing streak snapped in the Pirates win over Middletown Christian  in Week 2. Being followed by another exciting home win against the Toledo Scott Bulldogs in week 4.

The Pirates next game under the lights with a loss to the Xenia Buccaneers in West Carrollton’s 2015 homecoming game, where the 2015 homecoming court was gathered and the King and Queen were announced. This year’s King and Queen were Seniors Ryan Wasky and Haley Nixon. When asked about the outcome fellow Senior court member Tim Bowles said he’s happy for the two of them and that he thinks they deserve it.

The Pirates fought hard in a loss against the Buccaneers. That leaves a blemish on the Pirates record leaving them at a desperate 2-4.
