On October 9, WCHS hosted the annual pink out game at the DOC Stadium. Before the game, WCHS hosted their 1st annual West Carrollton City Schools tailgate that included food, music, face painting, cornhole and more. The purpose of the Pink Out game is to help support breast cancer awareness by fundraising money. A lot of students got involved that night by going to the football game and wearing pink.

Senior and Captain Spirit, Caleb Saldivar, said being Captain Spirit was one of the best experiences of his high school career. Saldivar really enjoyed getting the student section hyped up for the football games (including the Pink Out game), coming up with themed football games and starting chants in the students section. Saldivar said, “I definitely think the Pink Out game tradition should continue because it supports breast cancer awareness.” Saldivar also wants to thank the underclassmen for all the support they have showed for our school.

The school and West Carrollton community raised around $3,000 dollars from the tailgate and t-shirt and scarf sales.
