Have you ever wanted to know of a good Christmas movie to watch?  A good fantasy Christmas movie to watch is “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.”  This movie stars Jim Carrey as The Grinch and Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who.  The genre of the movie is children/family fantasy.  The movie was released in 2000.  You can watch this movie until Christmas on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas

The movie “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” is about a little girl named Cindy Lou Who.  She lives in a town called Whoville. The town loves to celebrate and get in the spirit of Christmas, but up in the mountain beside Whoville lives a mean Grinch that hates the holiday.  On Christmas Eve,  Cindy Lou Who speaks up and nominates The Grinch as the Whobilation’s Cheermeister even if he hates Christmas.  When The Grinch looks into the invite,  he decides to go down and accept the award as Holiday Cheermeister.  After he becomes Holiday Cheermeister,  he has a flashback to when he was a kid and people in the town made fun of him.  After the Whobilation,  he goes home and gets ready to steal Christmas because he hates Whoville and he hates Christmas.  After Santa Claus comes to Whoville,  The Grinch takes all the presents from the people in Whoville hoping it will ruin their Christmas when they wake up.

A reason “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” is good is because it explains why The Grinch hates Christmas so much.  An example of this in the movie is when the movie shows The Grinch as a kid. Finally,  this movie shows that people don’t care about presents or anything like that on Christmas.  They care about being with the ones they have and love.  In the end of the movie,  it shows all the people in Whoville talking about how happy they are to be with the ones they love and saying they don’t care if The Grinch took their presents and stuff away.  This movie may appeal to viewers because it shows happiness throughout.
