Need ideas for a date night in?

The romantic movie “The Notebook” is directed by Nick Cassavetes and takes place in the summer of 1930. Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) is a poor country boy and he meets a rich, young lady named Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) and they are immediately attracted to each other. Allie and Noah can’t be separated and spend their days and nights together. Allie shows Noah her interests and Noah shows Allie the fun of being country. By the end of the summer, the two are totally in love and dedicate themselves to each other. Allie’s parents do not approve of her relationship with Noah and they send her off to a college where she meets a new guy. Noah writes Allie every day for a whole year and never receives a response. Years later, the two see each other again and know the love they have for each other was never gone.

“The Notebook” is a great love story because of how in love Noah and Allie are and the things they do together. The plot of the story is one many young ladies relate to such as the whole never ending love
between Allie and Noah and the feeling Allie has after finding her soulmate. The fact that “The Notebook” has a little twist to it is also good. Different scenes of the movie gives you that feeling of wanting to watch it even more. “The Notebook” does a great job at being realistic about the struggles of life and love that certain people deal with.
“The Notebook” is a great movie for a date night or even on Valentine’s Day because every guy or girl can relate to something in the movie and it’s not a boring love story. It’s actually one of those good movies that always have something different going on. Valentine’s Day is about showing your significant other how much they mean to you or the love you have for them and “The Notebook” does a good job showing that. If you want to have a romantic date night at home, I recommend watching “The Notebook.”
