On Tuesday, January 16th, the West Carrollton Pirates basketball team lost a home game against the Fairborn Skyhawks. It was a close game with West Carrollton catching up and even passing the Skyhawks in some seconds of the game.
West Carrollton put up a big fight against the Skyhawks. During the first quarter of the game players from both teams were fouling each other. Second quarter, the Skyhawks had an 8-point lead over the Pirates. During the third quarter, West Carrollton was 2 points behind the Skyhawks and fighting catch up. Both teams battled back and forth for the win. Despite scoring 59 amount of points in the last quarter the Fairborn Skyhawks came on top.
West Carrollton’s next home games will be on the 23rd and 24th of January for the boys and girls basketball team. They will be going against the Sidney Yellowjackets.
