Selena Frost, a senior on the Lady Pirette, broke a school record that hasn’t been broken in 34 years last Saturday. That record was “Total points in one’s basketball career.” She has been a standout since starting her high school basketball and even hit the 1,000 point milestone in her basketball career. Her new record is officially 1,087 points, but she isn’t finished yet. Selena still has a couple more games to play and each game she adds more and more to that record. Once the season is over, the official number for the record will be set.
The previous record of 1,084 points was set back in 1990 by Tracey Mcnutt, making the record over 34 years old before it was finally broken. At the end of the season, Selena will have set a steep record and she will be remembered as one of the best players in Pirate history. Amazing job Selena!
