Hi, my name is Madi McCune, and I am a senior at West Carrollton High School. I have attended West Carrollton my whole life, and this year I'm taking on the position of student body president. In school, I participate in NHS, Student Council, FCS, Book Club, Student Board Rep, and Pep Rally Committee. I absolutely love being involved in school and going to football games to support my fellow peers. Outside of school, I have been participating in competitive dance for 13 years. I compete in styles such as tap, jazz, contemporary, and musical theater. When I'm not at the studio, I spend most of my time with my family and two younger siblings. I'm also involved in my youth group and enjoy hanging out with friends at coffee shops. I have always been interested in writing and have been journaling almost daily for 6 years now. After high school, I am thinking of majoring in education with the intention of being a school counselor or a journalism major. Despite not having a major picked yet, I plan on attending college in Ohio or nearby. I have a passion for student life, politics, public speaking, and creating a voice for all. I hope by being in the WCHS journalism class I can promote school spirit, highlight students in our school, and bring vital information to the student body.
